I-285 Strategic Implementation Plan
(I-285 Planning Study)
As part of the I-285 Planning Study, data and models are being developed for all of I-285 and will be used in revive285 top end. Please visit the Georgia DOT website for more information on the I-285 Planning Study.

I-285 Transit Corridor Project
This project builds upon previous study efforts that identified the need and benefits of transit along I-285 between the Cumberland area and Doraville to select the most suitable transit concept based upon technical evaluation, agency considerations, public support and funding availability. Interstate System Plan (ISP)
The ISP is a comprehensive program of projects focused on the area outside of metro Atlanta to meet travel demand and provide mobility for the horizon year 2035. Please visit the Georgia DOT website for more information regarding the

HOV System Implementation Plan
The HOV Implementation Plan provides strategies to get the maximum value from existing and future HOV lanes and to guide the state toward better air quality and improved mobility. Please visit the Georgia DOT website for more information regarding the

Statewide Transportation Plan (SWTP)
The SWTP assesses the current and future performance of all major transportation modes in the state and examines the linkages between modes. Please visit the Georgia DOT website for the most recent
SWTP update.

Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
The TIP allocates federal funds for use in construction of the highest priority transportation projects in the near term of the RTP. Please visit the Atlanta Regional Commission website for more information on the
TIP.

2006-2008 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP)
The STIP lists federally funded transportation projects that are located outside Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) boundaries. Each MPO develops its own TIP, and these TIPs are included in the STIP by reference. Please visit the Georgia DOT website for more information on the

Regional Transportation Plan (RTP)
The RTP is a long-range plan that includes projects such as bridges, bicycle paths, sidewalks, transit services, new and upgraded roadways, safety improvements, transportation demand management initiatives and emission reduction strategies. DeKalb County Comprehensive Transportation Program (CTP)
DeKalb County’s CTP is part of an all-inclusive effort to plan for the county's future transportation and infrastructure needs. Please visit the DeKalb County DOT website for more information on the

Cobb County Comprehensive Transportation Program (CTP)
Cobb County’s CTP will connect transportation decisions to land use policies to better serve the county and the metro region of Atlanta. Please visit the Cobb County DOT website for more information on the

Fulton County Transportation Planning & Projects
For information on transportation planning and project efforts in Fulton County, please visit the

Northwest I-75/I-575 HOV/BRT Project
This project is a combination of individual projects proposed by two separate agencies, the Georgia DOT and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), and proposes a variety of improvements along I-75 and I-575 to provide additional transportation choices and improve mobility and connectivity between activity centers.
