Establishing a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is an effective way to engage these groups in the project process. Facilitated involvement from this committee allows the project team to explain the project process to the level of detail necessary for technical stakeholder group representatives to understand what is happening. It is also an opportunity for TAC members to provide early and continuous input in the project process.
The TAC will provide guidance and valued input on the following:
Determining the corridor issues, transportation needs, and potential land use impacts
Determining the range of appropriate solutions, evaluation criteria, and project constraints
Evaluating the proposed alternatives, phasing and funding
